Yes, absolutely. This is known as “retrofitting” and can be achieved in two ways:

  • DC Coupling: If your existing solar inverter is “hybrid-ready,” a compatible battery can be connected directly to it.
  • AC Coupling: If you have a standard solar inverter, an additional battery-specific inverter is installed alongside it. This allows a battery to be added to virtually any existing solar PV system, regardless of its age or the brand of your current inverter.
